Farthing Downs, Happy Valley and the North Downs
The walk will include Farthing Downs, Happy Valley and a section of the North Downs Way. There will be the option of having a pub lunch at The Harrow PH (Stanstead Rd, Caterham -TQ326539). It still gets dark quite early so please bring a torch.

Surrey Munro (extra walk)
Once again it is time for our annual walk up and around Surrey’s Munro, Box Hill. As before, we plan to boldly go up/down/up/down/up/down.........up/down Box Hill and the surrounding peaks by as many different routes possible until it gets dark. Then back to our home locally for tea and cakes followed by a shared meal together. So join us for a great day out. Don’t forget - please bring a packed lunch, stuff to keep you warm and dry, and a smile. PS It’s going to be hilly☺.

Pitch Hill, Reynards Hill and Woodhill
We will walk through Hurt Wood from Peaslake to Pitch Hill, take the Greensand Way to Reynards Hill, through Winterfold Wood to Woodhill and onto lunch at Shamley Green. Lunch choices include the Red Lion pub, The Speckledy Hen Cafe and Deli, or sandwiches on the green. Return route northwards, hopefully with beautiful views of St Martha’s Hill and the North Downs. Tea at either the tea shop in Shere or Abinger Hammer.

Directions
Turn towards Shere from A25. Go straight through the village southwards on the B road. Go over the railway bridge and turn immediately left for Peaslake, 2miles away. In Peaslake turn immediately right, but keep left until you reach the car park on your left.

Coldharbour and Leith Hill
A circular walk from Holmwood station heading towards Coldharbour and Leith Hill. There will now be a pub lunch at the Stephan Langton Inn at Friday Street. We have reserved places with the pub for 1300 but it would be really helpful to know in advance if you would like to take up this option. There will still be the opportunity for people to take sandwiches.

We expect to complete the walk around 1730.

Walk 1
Loop in the morning to Peasmarsh, Littleton and the edge of Guildford and back down the river.

Afternoon walk up onto the Downs with a cup of tea at Newlands Corner. There will be the option to stop for a drink or a meal in Shalford at the end of the walk.

Box Hill and Denbies
The route crosses the stepping stones for the direct ascent of Box Hill (coffee), and then descends the gentle north slope with excellent views before crossing the valley to Westhumble. Passing Tanners Hatch YH we come out on the North Downs Way before descending to the car park via Denbies Vineyard (option for tea). No pub so please bring sandwiches for lunch.

Fernhurst, Haslemere and Black Down
Please note the change of starting point.
A circular, hilly walk via woodland and heathland, up to Black Down with its panoramic views across the South Downs National Park. Leisurely pace, but with some steep slopes. Afternoon tea or drinks available in Haslemere and option afterwards for a pub evening meal at the Red Lion, The Green, Fernhurst (SU898285 or approx GU27 3HY) If possible, please contact the leader in advance to confirm whether you would like the pub evening meal.

Starting point:
Having had lunch, meet outside St Margaret of Antioch Church, Church Road, Fernhurst (SU898284 or approx GU27 3HZ). (Pre-walk drinks available at the Red Lion.)

By car: Take A286 south from Haslemere and follow signs towards Midhurst into Fernhurst village. After traffic lights, turn left at cross roads (by Post Office) into Church Road (partly one-way). Park along Church Road or beyond around Fernhurst Green. (We have been asked not to park in the Red Lion’s parking area nor in the Recreation Ground car park, reserved for visiting cricket teams.) Afterwards, use Old Glebe Road by pub to return to A286.

By public transport: Take train to Haslemere, then catch the 12.30 pm number 70 (hourly) bus opposite the station arriving at Fernhurst Village Hall stop at 12.45 pm. Turn right at cross roads into Church Road to start point. (Lifts can be arranged back to the station afterwards.)

Frensham Ponds
This is a joint Hampshire and Surrey group walk at Frensham Ponds south of Farnham. This walk heads west to Alice Holt Forest passing by Frensham Manor and Dockenfield. The walk winds south to Arfold and heads back north-east to Frensham Ponds for refreshments at the cafe. Option to swim (sandy beach). Bring a picnic lunch.

A Circular Walk starting from Gomshall Rail Station. Easy walking with no steep hills and relatively few stiles. We will be walking through picturesque countryside, magnificent woodlands, heath, farmlands and a visit to an ancient church at Albury.

Polesden Lacey and Westhumble
A pre-Christmas ramble from Polesden Lacey to Westhumble via Norbury Park and back via Denbies. Lunch options at Westhumble include a picnic, the café at the station serving snacks or the pub, the Stepping Stones. The plan is to return to Polesden Lacey in time for tea in the Granary cafe
